I'm meeting George Mallet!

I'm meeting George Mallet, the coolest diabetic news anchor on television! My mom and I are taking the train down to Philly to see him before he moves out of state. : ( I am kinda scared to meet him even though I've watched his newscasts so many times before. It should be really fun, though. A great way to end summer vacation at least. We're watching the 11am broadcast and then taking a tour of the studio. Eeeeeeeee!
As for Cross Country, as of now, the only things on my body that are not sure and screaming in pain are my fingers. It's pretty sad, actually. But running with my friends is a lot of fun. A lot of times I feel like giving up, but with my friends, it's not as hard. I think they are what makes me keep going, and even if I collapse at the finish line, they are still there saying "Good Race".
I found a quote on a calender the other day, which I thought was amazing, so I copied it down.

The theme was Perseverance:
The race does not always go to the swift,
but often to those who keep on running.

It's awesome, and it means so much more than a Cross Country race. It's about perseverance in life, and that you have to always keep going, never stop, never let anyone stop you, you are in it to win it.
